Cairns was building a new performing arts centre and my role was to develop the identity strategy and wayfinding signage for the theatre and its surrounds. The signage suite was designed to have a split personality between the two distinct audiences—-consumer and creator. A formal front of house for the consumers, carrying cues from Cox Architecture’s angular planes and palette, with a lively back of house, bursting with energy for creators and crew to navigate the backstage corridors.
