The Letter D.

MAC / Office Signage / 28.09.2005

The law firm of Alex Mackay & Co were launching a new business entity and needed a foyer presence that could identify them both.

A large ampersand was used to link the two names, supported by the ampersand in both, while at the same time the glazing mullions were used to separate the entities visually.

Frosted vinyl created a background, allowing the text to be read in front of the busy foyer, as well as screening the staff from pedestrians.

MAC / Pentas Island Identity / 08.08.2005

Bribie Gardens was releasing its last remaining canal blocks, on their own island and needed a name and entrance statement to set the overall tone.

As the marketing was low-key, the idea was to take the name of the entry road, Pentas Drive, for both its sound and ease of integration into postal and Council maintenance requirements.

The five petalled Pentas flower was illustrated as a supporting graphic and positioned on one of two block walls, creating a grand statement on either side of the entrance onto the island.
