The Letter D got hands-on at Lightspace, installing our suite of bespoke pictograms.

The Letter D directed a shoot of the evolving Lightspace development, to update a range of applications, including the venue’s website – all shot by the talented Hussain Al-Moosawi.

With Ark Atelier’s fitout for Lightspace Studios nearing completion, The Letter D was asked to develop a leasing promo.

While creating the full signage suite for Lightspace a block typeface presented itself within the exposed blockwork walls onsite, which we’ve used as a bold contrast to the tubular identity, drawn in Font Route.
Using FontStruct‘s engine Font Theo Fine‘s upper-case was altered, bevelling the corners of each block, with various symbols revised and the toilet pictograms added.
The typeface has so far been used on the Lightspace website and various collateral.

The main website for Lightspace has launched, with the Studios fitout expected in July.

As Lightspace was being used as the launch venue for Brisbane Indesign, we installed a suite of posters on core-flute in the front entrance to tell the story to the guests arriving. And we even got to plug ourselves…

An old Fortitude Valley warehouse on Light Street is currently being converted into an event space for hire, aptly named Lightspace, with open-plan studios above for lease.
The Letter D was brought in to develop the site’s identity and environmental graphics, along with the launch website – all in time for Brisbane Indesign in September.
The signage package for Lightspace uses an altered version of Font Theo Fine for the street and studio numerals, along with a unique suite of toilet pictograms.

The stationery for Lightspace was setup to play on the extension of the neon tubing concept, developed for the identity.

We took the idea of using neon tubing as a line of light and adapted Font Route to suit.
