The Letter D.

REI / Website / 02.10.2006

Michael Reid asked The Letter D to refine his current website, which was being used to present exhibitions and artworks for his gallery, as well as displaying a number of publications he was involved with, including his popular guide to buying and selling art.

We initially went through an extensive audit of the elements that did and didn’t work on the old site, and ended up refining the identity en route, along with sub-identities for the various galleries and associations that came under the Michael Reid umbrella.

This lead to a business-wide overhaul of the collateral produced for everything from booking forms to artist catalogues. The website continues to grow, with Exhibition bookings, video tours and artist screensavers, and there’s more to come.

ARI / Website / 19.02.2006

Ari Athans best describes her jewellery as ‘devastatingly simple’. With the gallery’s interior fitout epitomising this approach it was essential that the gallery’s website maintains this style.

By developing a platform that enables Ari’s own photos of her jewellery to take centre stage, the result is an extension of the gallery’s exhibition space in keeping with her design ethos.

The distinctive identity was optimised for screen resolution, with an updated typeface to be implemented across the signage and new exhibition collateral.

JMG / Website / 29.04.2005

While the refreshed identity for Jan Murphy Gallery was under development, the Gallery’s website was also being overhauled, with various elements from the refresh being integrated, such as the colour and division of information with 4 lines.

The previous website had a minefield of graphic elements overpowering the artwork on display, so a pared-back approach was taken for the new content managed website, inline with the updated collateral being developed for the gallery.
