Artspace Mackay is holding an exhibition of local artists, as part of the City of Mackay’s 150th celebrations, and The Letter D was asked to produce the accompanying catalogue.
The artists were given a local artefact to be interpreted into their artwork, with each spread documenting the relationship between the artefact, the artist, and their artwork.
20 artists who’ve entered the Churchie art prize over the past 20 years were asked to produce a piece using the theme 20/20, to be displayed in a retrospective exhibition at the Museum of Brisbane. The Letter D was asked to put the catalogue together.
We saw the shape of the Brisbane river in the title so made the cover our own interpretation – the 21st piece, we like to think.
