Wrightson Stewart were moving and asked The Letter D to design the signage for the new location, in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

The Letter D was asked by Wrightson Stewart to develop a suite of bathroom pictograms for a new nightclub fitout they were completing.

Taking our cue from a mirrored screen in the entry vestibule, we let the interior details direct the signage, along with the clientele.

In time for Jan Murphy Gallery‘s first show this year, The Letter D has developed a new type placement for the front window showcase.

The impetus for A–CH‘s recent identity refresh was also driven by a move to new premises in West End, with a small gallery space providing an additional arm to the firm’s pursuits.

The new identity acronym provides a versatile foundation for future offshoots and one of the first adaptations was the building signage.

A side alley presents the perfect place for a loud surprise, while the front door quietly lets visitors know what’s in store for them.

The mirror polished stainless steel reflects the linear nature of the tactile wallpaper, creating a moiré pattern on a smooth surface.

The Cloakroom was offered a temporary hoarding opportunity adjacent to their pop-up store in Brisbane’s Wintergarden, and asked The Letter D to develop a direction to locate the store.

Fine Print was after an entry mural for their warehouse lane and after realising there were 26 units, or blocks, that make up the reverse ‘F’ logo, an alphabet was too good to pass up.

The Letter D got hands-on and painted the 5m high mural, utilising a variety of wooden type available for loan from Fine Print’s library.

With a number of local practices around Brisbane, Vetwell were looking to create a connection across the group, and asked The Letter D to review their practice signage.

All practice information has been re-ordered and moved to the non-opening door or glazing, with a good ol’ swing panel for the Open / Closed sign, adding a friendly touch.
