The Letter D.

TLD / Desktop Magazine Feature / 01.09.2011

Australia’s monthly design culture magazine Desktop was celebrating its 25th Anniversary, with a bumper September issue guest edited by Andrew Ashton.

As part of this edition, six creatives were asked to contribute throughout the magazine, with, amongst other items, an image of their own desktop, both in the studio and ‘other’.

TLD / Update / 25.05.2011

You may have noticed the website has had a face-lift after a month or two’s hiatus?

We’re looking to seal all that came before this in a time capsule of sorts, and have added a few extra features to make it easier for those with small screens to navigate through the imagery, all via the arrow keys.

McV / Practice Profile / 16.08.2010

A practice profile and A4 document format has been developed for McVeigh, as part of an overall review of the practice’s collateral.

CHI / User Interface / 04.08.2010

Charmhealth, a software company specialising in the health informatics field, approached The Letter D to assist in the user interface design for their suite of software products, soon to be trialled in a number of hospitals.

A colour and format direction has been developed for the interface, including a family of icons to be used throughout, with printed promotional collateral also underway.

TLD / Font Duplex 2010 / 01.02.2010

Constructed using the full range of ‘bricks’ available in FontStruct, Font Duplex is a typographic experiment in legibility – as we restricted each character to only two bricks.

TLD / Font Space 2009 / 06.06.2009

While creating the full signage suite for Lightspace a block typeface presented itself within the exposed blockwork walls onsite, which we’ve used as a bold contrast to the tubular identity, drawn in Font Route.

Using FontStruct‘s engine Font Theo Fine‘s upper-case was altered, bevelling the corners of each block, with various symbols revised and the toilet pictograms added.

The typeface has so far been used on the Lightspace website and various collateral.
