As the opening date for the first Allergy Medical clinic draws closer The Letter D has been feverishly working on a variety of items, including clinic stationery, signage, and promotional material for various local media.

ACH / North Point / 02.11.2010

After creating their identity three years ago, Atelier Chen Hung’s founders commissioned a North Point to commemorate three years of practice, as part of an overall identity and website update that’s currently underway.

Taking the brief a little further, a series of base geometric shapes have been used, with the number of sides evolving to correspond to the actual year of practice – starting with three.

AMG / Allergy Medical Identity / 30.07.2010

Australia’s pre-eminent allergist Dr Pete Smith, with a number of business partners, is looking to open Allergy Medical, a dedicated medical practice for treating allergies.

The Letter D was asked to review the naming direction and develop an identity, emphasising the scientific nature of the patient service. A substantial launch campaign rollout, with signage and online applications is underway.

TSK / Identity / 15.06.2010

A group of local writers, readers, poets have come together, as The Subtle Knot, to support the Brisbane Writers Festival——specifically to support the participation of a key author to add to the festival’s program.

The Letter D was approached to develop the initial suite of collateral, with the first task being an identity for the group.

AGDA / Web Promo / 22.04.2010

The Letter D’s identity for the 2010 AGDA National Awards has launched on AGDA’s website, as part of the Call for Entries campaign, with a printed poster to come.

The ‘X’ connects the year 2010 with the year’s two milestones——20 years and 10th awards.

AGDA / 2010 Awards Identity / 22.02.2010

2010 is an interesting year for the Australian Graphic Design Association, as it will be the 20th year of awards and 10th biennial event.

The Letter D was privileged to be asked to design the identity and implementation program, which will be held in Brisbane as part of ICOGRADA’s Design Week and the Queensland Government’s Design Triennial.

BRF / Identity Refresh / 17.02.2010

The Great Barrier Reef Foundation approached The Letter D to conduct an overall audit of their stationery, document and presentation formats with the view to developing a set of guides for a consistent approach throughout.

With a wide variety of material being produced it became apparent that the existing identity block had limited flexibility and so a refresh was proposed to allow the identity to adapt to its surroundings, with various orientations.

McV / Identity Refresh / 27.11.2009

McVeigh Consultants were looking to promote the architectural side of their firm and asked The Letter D to redevelop their website to convey this integrated development process.

Our first recommendation was to refine the original logotype, loosely based on the typeface Bauhaus, and develop a suite of graphic elements to help support the new identity across their various collateral.

This evolved direction will be implemented across project profiles, internal documents, stationery and the website. Stay tuned.

GRE / Name & Identity / 05.11.2009

A sustainable property services business approached The Letter D to develop a launch identity, website and collateral suite.

In collaboration with Al et al, a new name was developed to convey the idea of donning our ‘green’ hats when considering ways to make our buildings more comfortable and efficient.

MSA / Identity Refresh / 13.08.2009

Multi Span Australia, the parent company of the newly launched Carter Hood Architects, asked The Letter D to update their website inline with the practice’s collateral design.

We took the opportunity to leverage the evolution of the business with a refreshed identity, allowing the practice identity to stand proud alongside the parent’s identity.

Given the equity in the name and existing green and gold colour palette, a light yet considered update was undertaken, balancing the symbol’s elements and type treatment.
